Renew Your ANCDS Membership for 2026!

Dear ANCDS Members,

It is time to renew your ANCDS membership for the 2026 calendar year!

We are proud to say that ANCDS has continued to offer members opportunities for continuing education. We offered several webinars and education (at no cost to members) through both live and archived formats this year. Presentations included “A Case Study: Determining Organic Versus Functional Motor Speech Disorder,” “The ANCDS Race, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Self-Study: Freedom of Discomfort,” "Hearing the Patient's Voice: Cases with Speech Pathology and Palliative Care, and “Supporting Older Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.”

Our 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in Washington D.C. This year’s theme is “Technological Advances and Ethical Decisions in Neurogenic Communication Disorders,” and the schedule includes presentations from excellent speakers on a variety of topics. To view the complete schedule of presentations and events, and to register, visit the annual meeting page. With your support, we awarded 12 student fellowships to Master's and Ph.D. level students who will participate in the 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting, receive mentorship from ANCDS members, and complimentary membership for the year to come.

The ANCDS Board of Residency Education (BRE) promotes excellence in clinical education through accreditation of post-graduate residency programs in speech-language pathology that serve individuals with neurologic communication disorders. In March 2025, BRE accredited the Mayo Clinic Medical Speech-Language Pathology Program. Four Department of Veterans Affairs Speech-Language Pathology programs across the country are in the process of applying for BRE accreditation, and all VA Speech-Language Pathology programs wishing to support a CFY residency with specialization in neurogenic communication disorders must be accredited by BRE. BRE welcomes applications for accreditation from any clinical speech-language pathology program wishing to demonstrate commitment to providing advanced training to post-graduate residents. ANCDS is proud to be the organization that supports and accredits outstanding post-graduate speech-language pathology residency programs.

As we look toward 2026, we hope to accomplish even more for and with our members. We will continue to offer member benefits and programs such as webinars, board certification, e-newsletters, and more.

Please take a moment to submit your renewal online and confirm your commitment to our professional association. We hope to work together in the coming year to establish a better understanding of and enhanced assessment and treatment methods for neurologic communication disorders.
