Don't miss this opportunity to join mentors and peers in your field at the ANCDS Annual Meeting -- submit your application for the 2020 Fellowship Awards!  Award winners receive (1) complimentary registration for the Annual Meeting, (2) an invitation to the "Fellow-Mentor Networking Breakfast", (3) a complimentary ticket to the Annual Meeting Luncheon, (4) an invitation to the "Student Fellowship Social Event" following the meeting, and (5) one year of ANCDS membership at no cost!

The true value of the Fellowship Awards is best explained by past winners themselves:

2019 ANCDS Fellow Jessica Salley, MS, CCC-SLP: "For a few years, many friends, colleagues, and mentors had highly recommended the ANCDS conference to me.  I often heard about the welcoming nature of the ANCDS community, the engaging and ground-breaking nature of the conference, and the intimate environment the conference provided for like-minded clinicians and researchers.  As a student, it can be difficult (and intimidating) to insert yourself into a group of professionals, but the fellow program offered a great opportunity to engage with a professional established in ANCDS and receive mentorship on not only the conference, but the neurologic communication sciences field at large."

2019 ANCDS Fellow Anna Saylor: "Getting to network with other students and professionals who are passionate about neurogenic communication is amazing.  Being a master's student and considering my career/academia path, it was invaluable to get perspectives from people working clinically, obtaining their PhD, working as a postdoc, and working in academia."

The 2020 competition is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Full-time speech-language pathology Master's and Doctoral students enrolled in graduate-level courses during the Spring 2020 semester; or
  • Full-time students specializing in clinical neurologically-based communication disorders and sciences (e.g., neuroscience, linguistics) enrolled in graduate-level courses during the Spring 2020 semester
