Dear ANCDS Members,

This notice serves as Presentation of the Slate of Candidates for the 2024 ANCDS Executive Board and call for additional nominations of individuals to the slate. 

The Nominating Committee’s slate of candidates for the Executive Board positions for 2024 is as follows:

• President-Elect: Melissa Collins Duff, Ph.D., CCC
• Secretary: Lauren Bislick, Ph.D., CCC
• Member-At-Large: Jamila Minga, Ph.D., CCC
• Member-At-Large: Ramani Voleti, M.S., CCC

The ANCDS Bylaws state: “The Nominating Committee, chaired by the Past President, shall submit a slate of one candidate for each position of Officer or Executive Board member of the Academy to the membership.  The membership may send to the chair of the Nominating Committee the names of members whom they wish to add to the slate.  Those members receiving at least five (5) nominations from voting members of the Academy, and who give their consent, will be added to the slate of candidates.  The full slate of candidates will be returned to the membership by formal electronic ballot for voting...”  [ANCDS Bylaws, Article VI, Elections]

If you wish to nominate additional individuals to be added to the slate, send your nominations to  Carole Roth, Chair, Nominating Committee, at [email protected] by Friday, June 16, 2023.  Self-nominations are encouraged.  The names of individuals who receive at least five (5) nominations (including self-nomination) from voting members of the academy will be placed on the slate for the ANCDS 2024 Executive Board.

In an effort to continue to increase diversity and representation on the ANCDS Executive Board, nominations of individuals from minoritized and under-represented communities, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, LGBTQIA2S+, and individuals from settings outside the United States are encouraged.

Please include the following information for each person you nominate:

• Name and pronouns, if preferred
• Title
• Affiliation
• Email address
• Office for which the individual is being nominated
• Brief description supporting this nomination

You may, but need not, contact an individual nominee in advance.  A member of the Nominating Committee will contact them to confirm their interest.
