The focus of this session will be a review of reported deficits and guidelines for effective clinical assessment of this growing population of at-risk individuals. Speaker Bio:Kim McCullough, PhD, CCC-SLP, is Graduate Program Director and Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at Appalachian State University. She teaches courses in adult neurogenic communication disorders. Her clinical activities and research interests include developing clinically efficient assessment and treatment protocols for individuals with cognitive impairments. Speaker Disclosures:Financial Disclosures: Dr. McCullough receives a salary from Appalachian State University. Dr. McCullough receives royalties from authorship of a textbook as well as from presentations. Non-Financial Disclosures: Dr. McCullough is currently developing a treatment program for adults with cognitive-communication impairments with a publishing group.
