ANCDS Membership Renewal Now Open for 2024!

Dear ANCDS Members,

It is time to renew your ANCDS membership for the 2024 calendar year!  We are proud to say that, over the past year, ANCDS has continued to offer members opportunities for continuing education.  We offered three webinars through live and archived formats this year.  Presentations included Cognitive Rehabilitation for Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19, Recognizing and Managing Functional Speech Disorders, and Mild Cognitive Impairment: Guidelines and Considerations for Early Identification and Assessment.  The ANCDS Race, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Committee also offered the self-study course: Freedom of Discomfort.

Our 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting will take place on Wednesday November 15, 2023, in Boston, MA.  This year’s theme is “Supporting Mental Health in Neurogenic Communication Disorders", and the schedule includes presentations from excellent speakers on a variety of topics.  To view the complete schedule of presentations and to register, visit the annual meeting page: https://ancds.memberclicks.net/annual-meeting-information.

With your support, we awarded 12 student fellowships to Master's and Ph.D. level students who will participate in the 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting, receive mentorship from ANCDS members, and free membership for the year to come.  As we look toward 2024, we hope to accomplish even more for and with our members.  We will continue to offer webinars, board certification, and more.

Please take a moment to submit your dues renewal (login to your profile, or pay via the dues invoice attached to your renewal notification email) and confirm your commitment to our professional association.  We hope to work together in the coming year to establish a better understanding of and enhanced assessment and treatment methods for neurologic communication disorders.  Also, please make note of the reduction in the Student Member rate to $25.  This provides Master’s and doctoral students the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of ANCDS at a reduced cost.  Clinical Fellows will remain at their current rate of $60.

If you have any questions, or need assistance completing your renewal, please contact the ANCDS Central Office ([email protected] or 651-925-5528).

We look forward to working with you in 2024 and beyond!

Thank you,

Miriam Carroll-Alfano, Ph.D., CCC-SLP
Chair, ANCDS Membership Committee
